Hocking County sheriff's detectives are looking for the man they believe broke into a service station and then led officers on a high speed chase.

Deputies received a call reporting a breaking and entering at the Rockbridge Valero. Officers reviewed the store's surveillance video and identify the man as William "Randy" Preece, 33.

A Valero employee said a man broke out a front window to enter the store, took items from the store and then left in a white pickup truck.

Shortly after the call, Ohio State Highway Patrol officers reported chasing a stolen vehicle believed to be truck from the break-in. The chase ended with the man crashing the truck and escaping on foot.
