A New York man is being held on $1 million bond for a 23 year old killing in Zanesville.
Raymond Mejias pleaded not guilty yesterday to a murder indictment that was filed in 1988.
Mejias is 42 years old and from Bronx, New York.
He was transported to Zanesville just a couple days ago, according to Muskingum County Assistant Prosecutor Bob Smith, who says Mejias was arrested back in April and had been in jail in New York on local charges.
Mejias is charged with killing Jeffrey Harris of Zanesville on June 22nd, 1988.
