Three Ohio University softball players were named to the 2013 College Sports Madness MAC Preseason All League team on Tuesday.
Senior catcher Lauren Gellerman and junior first baseman Raven King were named to the first team, and sophomore pitcher Lauren McClary was named to the second team.
Both Gellerman and King set school records for most homeruns in a season last year, each hitting 13. King was one of only two Bobcats to start every game last year, hitting .327 with 41 RBIs. Gellerman hit .340 on the season, and her .660 slugging percentage lead the team.
McClary started 32 games last year for the Bobcats, pitching 14 complete games and five shutouts. She was named Pitcher of the Week three times last year.
The Bobcats start their season February 8 at the ECU Pirate Classic, facing Towson, Cleveland State, Rider, and host school Eastern Carolina.
