Jurors have found Levi Canterbury of Gallipolis guilty on two counts of raping an Ohio University student in September 2011.
The jury deliberated from around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday until 9 p.m. The jurors resumed deliberation at 9 a.m. on Wednesday and reached the verdict at approximately 10:45 a.m.
The trial began with jury selection nearly two weeks ago and the six-man, six-woman jury heard seven days of testimony and arguments in the case.
Canterbury claimed he did not have any sexual contact with the woman. However, DNA results from the underwear of the woman revealed that the chances of semen not being Canterbury's were 1 in 8 quintillion.
