Mid-South Conference regular season games are now complete for the Rio Grande RedStorm, as head coach Scott Morrissey’s squad clinched an unbeaten conference record with a 5-1 victory at the University of the Cumberlands.

Craig Davies, Patricio Arce, and Luiz Filho netted goals for Rio, as did Pau Rodriguez, who scored two for the RedStorm.

The RedStorm outshot Cumbelrands 19-5, in what was yet another dominant performance.

The RedStorm finished with a 7-0-2 record against MSC opponents. Rio allowed only three goals in conference play this season.

The 12-1-2 mark with one regular season game to go has the No. 1 RedStorm riding high as they head into the conference tournament next week, and the NAIA tournament after.

Rio has just one regular season game remaining before its conference tournament. The RedStorm take on the University of Northwestern Ohio on Wednesday at 7 p.m. in their final regular season game at Evan E. Davis Field.
