Another Hocking College Trustee Resigns
< < Back to another-hocking-college-trustee-resignsAnother Hocking College Board of Trustees member has resigned.
Tonya Sherburne of Junction City stepped down from her post last night.
The New Lexington Schools Superintendent said in her resignation letter that she no longer has the time to commit to the position at the Nelsonville school.
Sherburne is the latest in a string of resignations from the board.
Last week, Board Member Pat Light resigned.
She stepped down the day after the board rehired Ron Erickson as president.
Erickson was removed from the president position in June after a dispute with the board.
Light said she did not agree with re-hiring Erickson and could not support him as president.
Earlier this week, Ohio Board of Regents Chancellor Jim Petro met with the board and told them they needed to relinquish some control and let Erickson manage the day-to-day operations of the college.
