Ohio University Zanesville security staff are patrolling the campus while the search continues for three escaped, exotic animals.

OUZ and Zane State College are still open today for classes.

A mountain lion, grizzly bear and monkey are still running loose after escaping from an exotic-animal preserve last night.

OUZ Dean Richard Greenlee sent out a letter to the students and faculty stating that he is aware of the situation and has Security Staff are on alert to ensure the safety of everyone.

Greenlee continues to say that campus officials are unaware of any sightings of the animals in the City of Zanesville at this time, but if an animal is spotted on the campus, they will notify everyone through the campus emergency notification system.
