Lancaster firefighters says a pizza shop suffered $500,000 in damage during a weekend fire.
Assistant Chief Dave Ward says the fire at Fat Cat Pizzeria off of Ety Road started around 9 a.m. Saturday.
He says it began in the attic, but they still don't know what caused the blaze.
No one was there at the time of the fire.
Lancaster and three other fire departments responded to the fire.
Firefighters used foam to eventually put the fire out because it was a deep-seeded fire.
"They were having a hard time extinguishing the fire. The foam helps squelch the fire," says Ward.
He says the majority of the fire damage was in the attic area.
The inside of the restaurant suffered water and foam damage.
