Fatal Accident Near Barnesville
< < Back toAuthorities are investigating a fatal accident that took place yesterday afternoon on State Route 800 between Interstate 70 and the Village of Barnesville.
According to the St. Clairsville Post of the State Highway Patrol, William Kress, 55, of Caldwell was driving a concrete truck southbound on Route 800 when the left front steering tire blew out and he lost control.
The truck then ran off the road, crashed through the guardrail and onto an embankment, where it overturned.
Kress was said to be hauling nine yards of concrete to a job site in Belmont County.
Kress was pronounced dead at the scene.
