Ross County Crash Leaves One Dead

A two-vehicle crash Thursday evening in Ross County leaves one man dead and a woman in critical condition.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Marcia Ellis, 52, of Chillicothe, was traveling north on State Route 159 near Green Township around 5:30 p.m. when she crossed the center line and hit another car head-on.
 
The driver of that car, Estella Hughes, 65 of Chillicothe, had two passengers with her — 67-year-old Franklin Hughes and a juvenile.
 
Franklin Hughes was pronounced dead at the scene.
 
The juvenile was flown to Nationwide Children's Hospital.
 
Estella Hughes is in critical condition at Ohio State University Medical Center. 
 
Ellis was transported to OSU Medical Center as well.
 
The crash is under investigation.
