State Representative Andy Thompson says a $1.7 billion capital appropriations bill passed in the Ohio House today.

The two year capital budget invests $400 million in Ohio universities.

Thompson - who represents the Marietta area - says the legislation appropriates $750,000 for parking and bridge repairs at Washington State Community College.

He says it also invests $222,000 in the Ohio River Museum to restore the decks and other portions of the  W.P. Snyder, Jr.
