Teen Craigslist Murder Suspect To Be Tried As Adult
< < Back to teen-craigslist-murder-suspect-be-tried-adultA 17-year-old boy will be tried as an adult in a deadly Craigslist robbery scheme.
Brogan Rafferty of Stow waived his right Wednesday to a hearing. That means the juvenile court case involving two of three homicides goes to adult court in Akron.
Attorneys expect those counts to be merged with charges of murder and attempted murder originally from Noble County in the killing of a third man and an attack on a fourth victim.
Rafferty is suspected of helping 52-year-old Richard Beasley of Akron lure victims with bogus job offers. Both have pleaded not guilty.
Rafferty was already facing life in prison without chance of parole if convicted of the aggravated murder count pending in adult court.
