< < Back to female-oh-supreme-court-justices-speak-girlsThe four female justices of the Ohio Supreme Court are scheduled to make a rare appearance together away from the court at an event that educates girls about government.
Chief Justice Maureen O'Connor and Justices Evelyn Lundberg Stratton, Judith Ann Lanzinger and Yvette McGee Brown were scheduled to speak Thursday at Buckeye Girls State. The weeklong event is being held at the University of Mount Union in Alliance, in northeast Ohio.
The justices were slated to participate in a question-and-answer session and talk about the power of one person to make a difference in the world.
Stratton has announced she plans to leave the court at year's end, with two years left on her term. The Republican has spent 16 years as one of seven members on the high court.
