Judge Hears Arguments For New Inman Trial
< < Back to judge-hears-arguments-new-inman-trialA judge is considering a new trial for a man convicted of killing his estranged wife, who was found strangled in a southeast Ohio septic tank last year.
Hocking County Judge John Wallace heard arguments Monday in the case of William Inman II.
Inman was convicted last month of aggravated murder and other charges in 25-year-old Summer Inman's death.
His attorneys had filed a motion claiming a witness' criminal background was not disclosed before he testified against their client.
They say the new information tarnishes the credibility of the witness.
The prosecutor didn't immediately return a call for comment.
Inman's mother pleaded guilty last month to murder and other charges.
Sandra Inman was sentenced to 15 years to life in prison.
Sandra Inman's husband also is charged in the case.
