Homeless Shelter Slated For Fall Opening
< < Back to homeless-shelter-slated-fall-openingA new homeless shelter in Parkersburg plans to open their doors to the emergency shelter by September.
The shelter will start with 25 beds, donated by Marietta College.
It will be located just off of Lynn Street.
Shelter organizers say they also hope to develop it to have clothing recycling and thrift store, and they say there is also room for a domestic abuse and battered women abuse shelter.
A benefit dinner will be held August 23 with all proceeds going towards the shelter.
