For the third installment in the Sessions @ WOUB series, we are proud to present Americana singer-songwriter Paul Thorn.

The son of a preacher and the nephew of a pimp, Thorn worked in a furniture factory, fought former world champion Roberto Duran and jumped out of airplanes for fun (169 skydives) before deciding on a career in music.

Since recording his debut album, Hammer and Nail, for A&M Records in 1997, the Tupelo, Miss., native has gone on to record five more albums, tour nationally and appear on such TV programs as Late Night with Conan O'Brien and Jimmy Kimmel Live!.

Thorn is currently touring in support of his latest release, a collection of covers titled What the Hell is Goin' On?.
