Despite dreary skies across the area Wednesday, the city of Glouster was looking a little brighter thanks to more than 300 volunteers.

The SkillsUSA Summer Leadership Camp joined forces with the Glouster volunteers to paint 17 different sites within the community as part of the "Paint the Town" project.

Volunteers came from all over the state, including students from 32 different high schools, to reach out to a town in need.

SkillsUSA Leadership Camp Advisor Russ Grycza says it is important for the program to show the community their support.

"I think the students coming out here to help out for today is really showing Glouster that people outside of the city care about them too," said Grycza.

The "Paint the Town" project has been going on in Glouster for almost four months, and over 60 sites have been painted.
