Trooper Involved in US 23 Crash

According to a dispatcher at the Scioto County post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, crews finished accident reconstruction work earlier and the road was open again around noon.
No word yet on the identities of those involved in the accident or the extent of their injuries.
Both lanes of US Route 23 near Rosemount in Scioto County are closed at this hour due to a multi-vehicle accident involving a state highway patrol trooper.
According to a dispatcher with the patrol, officers are on the scene near Mile Post 4.
The accident happened around 7 a.m.
Two cars were involved in the accident, which resulted in reported serious injuries.
The trooper involved is from the Scioto post of the OSHP. A dispatcher who spoke with WOUB News said "it's pretty bad" when asked about the severity of the injuries.
No word yet on the conditions of those involved or when the road will be re-opened.
The accident is under investigation.
Drivers are advised to find alternative routes.
