After a tough 24-6 opening season loss at home against Coal Grove last week, the Meigs Marauders find themselves still looking for their first win of the season.

They’ll be at home again playing host to a familiar non-division foe in the Fairland Dragons, who are coming off a week one 34-14 victory over Portsmouth West.

The Marauders’ Week 1 defeat was not a shocking outcome. Like this year, Meigs started their 2011 season in similar fashion with a loss at Coal Grove last season by a score of 43-7. Even with the opening week loss, the Marauders still played themselves to a respectable 6-4 season.

Meigs was victorious over Fairland last season when they beat the Dragons by a score of 27-20, and have won three of their last four meetings against Fairland. If history is on their side, the Marauders should be looking at a Week 2 win, but there’s a reason the games are played on Friday nights, and this game is far from a freebie for either team.

The game is scheduled to kickoff at 7:30 PM.
