10/24 Playoff Rankings Update
< < Back toThere have been some major shake-ups in the OHSAA playoff rankings following Week 9. Despite defeating Federal Hocking 25-23, Eastern has been forced to forfeit their wins against Waterford and South Gallia for violating OHSAA rules. The Eagles remain eligible for the playoffs but must defeat Southern and will need other teams to lose if they hope to make it in the top eight. Tri-Valley and Trimble remain the only teams to have clinched a spot in the postseason but still have seed positions to play for. The top eight in each region at the end of the season qualify for the playoffs with the top four hosting in week one.
The WVSSAC has also released updated playoff rankings. Despite having a bye week last week, Wahama moved up to second in Class A. In West Virginia the top 16 in each class qualify for the playoffs. Here is the rundown of the standings for all the teams in the TVC-Ohio, TVC-Hocking, SEOAL, MVL and selected West Virginia teams.
