State Fire Marshal’s Office Investigates Fatal Perry County Fire

The Ohio State Fire Marshal's office is investigating a fire in Perry County early Friday morning that killed a woman.
Stacey Snellings, 34, of Clayton Township died in the fire, which was reported just before 5 a.m. at her home outside of New Lexington.
Keith Peck, a sergeant at the Perry County Sheriff's Office, said Snellings apparently had health problems and that may have kept her from escaping the flames.
The cause of the fire is not known.
