Accused Bank Robber Changes Plea
< < Back to accused-bank-robber-changes-pleaThe Albany man accused of robbing a Nelsonville bank will appear for sentencing later this week after entering a change of plea Thursday.
According to the Athens County prosecutor's office, 30-year-old Jason Johnson pleaded guilty in Athens County Common Pleas court last week.
Johnson is charged with one count of aggravated robbery and one count of tampering with evidence in the September 20 robbery of the Citizen's Bank.
He also pleaded guilty to a charge of aggravated robbery for allegedly holding up Jewel's Drive Thru Carryout in Glouster in late October.
His sentencing is set for January 10. He remains at the Southeast Ohio Regional Jail.
