OU Student Expo Set For April
< < Back to ou-student-expo-set-aprilOhio University students will once again have a chance to showcase their creative abilities in the upcoming Student Expo 2013.
Organizer Roxanne Male-Brune says the topics are presented in a unique way.
"Our motto basically is, is as long as it's legal and it's safe, we really encourage students to present their work in any creative way that they can think of," says Male-Brune.
The expo has sessions for a diverse number of disciplines and has a limit of 12 people per session.
Male-Brune says 10 percent of Ohio University's faculty participates as judges.
"One of the favorites that the middle schools and high schools love are when the engineers and the communicators bring in their video games," says Male-Brune.
In previous years, more than 550 students have presented and more than 2,000 students, faculty and community members have been in attendence.
Registration for this year's expo has already begun and closes on February 24.
Winners of first place prizes for each session take home $200 and second place prizes are awarded $100.
This year's expo takes place on April 11 from 11:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.
