A grand jury also indicted Brandon Spurlock, 29, with three counts of forgery of a credit card on Wednesday.
Police said on October 20 Spurlock pulled out a knife and forced the student back in her car. Then he made the victim drive him to several ATMs and forced her to withdraw cash.
Police said after getting the money he took the student's keys and debit card and left her in her car near Elm Street and Charleston Avenue.
Police said Spurlock used the debit card at several locations after the incident.
The student was not hurt and she did not know Spurlock.
