Ohio Field Hockey Earns Academic Honors

The Ohio Field Hockey team received a 2012 National Academic Team Award and some individual Bobcats earned individual academic honor as well. Ohio placed 10 student-athletes on the 2012 National Field Hockey Coach Association (NFHCA) Division One National Academic Squad. 

Caelyn Hartley earned an exclusive spot on the 2012 Gladiator by SGI/NFHCA Division I of Distinction Team. 

The list for the 'Cats is made up of seniors Cathryn Altdoerffer, Riley Higgins, and Laura Mastro, juniors Katherine Fenzel and Luli Gomez Teruel, sophomores Ashley Cureton, Hartley, and Danielle Rissmiller, and freshmen Clarissa Leickly, and Nicole van Batenburg. 

The team award goes to any Division I program that earns a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. The National Academic Squad honors student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher through the first semester of the 2012-13 academic year. 

Altdoerffer and Mastro have made the squad all four years as Bobcats.
