Cooper Named MVP of Reese’s® All-Star Game, Signs With Agent

D.J. Cooper finished with 11 points and nine assists to help lead the East All-Stars to an 87-81 victory over the West All-Stars in the Reese's® Division I College All-Star Game Friday night at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta.
The Chicago native earned MVP honors for his performance.
Cooper was 4-of-8 from the floor, knocking down two 3-pointers and also grabbing four boards in 30 minutes of action. The East was +23 in scoring margin when the former Bobcat was on the floor.
Iowa State's Will Clyburn stood out for the West All-Stars and was named West's Reese's Perfect Player of the Game after scoring 17 points and grabbing 8 rebounds.
The East led 43-33 at half. BYU's Brandon Davies had eight first half points and six rebounds.
The East held its largest lead of the game at 60-45 with 13:45 left. The West All-Stars then went on a 17-4 run to cut the deficit to 64-62 with 7:42 to go. Yet the East was resilient down the stretch, putting the game away with a 9-0 run.
Cooper Signs With Agent
Now that his career at Ohio University is over, D.J. Cooper has set his sights on playing at the professional level.
Cooper signed with professional basketball agent and Chicago resident Mike Naiditch of Naiditch Entertainment. Naiditch announced the signing via Twitter on March 27.
Among Naiditch's clients are Greg Stiemsma of the Minnesota Timberwolves, Thabo Sefolosha of the Oklahoma City Thunder and Enes Kanter of the Utah Jazz.
