Columbus Plane Goes Off Runway< < Back to
A Columbus airport passenger plane overshot the runway this morning.
The Delta flight from Los Angeles went off the end of a runway slightly after landing before dawn.
Brooks Jerosz, former WOUB reporter and Ohio University alum, was on the plane when it happened.
"It was a smooth landing but we were coming in fast and the pilot told us later he had to come in fast because with the winds the way they were, it could bounce the plane around… It's a safety concern. It was pretty rough. He was just trying to make it to the runway and we did. We really just ran out of room to stop."
Passengers were bused to the terminal. No other flights were delayed as a result.
