Two Dead in Hocking County Killing
< < Back to two-dead-hocking-county-killingTwo bodies have been found in a home near New Straitsville in what is believed to be a murder/suicide.
The Hocking County Sheriff's Department said it received a report just after 9:00 P.M. Saturday that a 47-year-old man had killed his 49-year-old wife and was going to kill himself.
The initial call that was placed to the Perry County Sheriff's Department indicated the man had barricaded himself in the house.
When they arrived, the Logan/Hocking Special Response team found two bodies inside the home on Route 93.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol closed the road while investigators determined the seriousness of the situation.
The road was reopened at 5:00 A.M. Sunday morning.
The names of those involved have not been released.
