Bike Tour Attracts Thousands
< < Back to bike-tour-attracts-thousandsThousands of cyclists took part this weekend in Ohio's celebrated cross-state bicycle tour, the Tour of the Scioto River Valley.
The event has grown from a father-son outing in 1962 to the largest bicycle touring weekend in the nation. About 2,500 riders were expected for its 52nd run.
Riders began their journey from the Statehouse in Columbus for the two-day, 210-mile round-trip ride to Portsmouth on the Ohio River.
