Lane Reductions On Athens’ East State and West Union Streets

Drivers on East State Street in Athens should expect some delays Wednesday morning.

The City of Athens will be reducing traffic to one lane as they perform asphalt repairs.

Also, motorists are asked to avoid West Union Street from Jefferson Alley near the fairgrounds to Blueline Drive on Thursday.

Officials say traffic will be reduced to one lane and flagged for asphalt repairs.
