WV Police Officer Pleads Guilty To Child Porn Possession

A former Ripley, WV police officer has pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography.
U.S. Attorney Booth Goodwin announced that George Michael Puskas II, 31, entered the plea Monday in federal court in Charleston.
According to prosecutors, Puskas established a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old in March 2010 and took sexually explicit pictures and video of the minor. Puskas resigned from the Ripley Police Department in May 2012, about a month after authorities executed a federal search warrant and seized a computer, a flash drive and other items he used to produce child pornography.
Puskas faces up to 10 years in prison when he is sentenced on Oct. 1.
