At least one county has declared a flood emergency as days of rain have left some central Ohio roads under water and impassable.

The emergency management director in Perry County  declared the emergency Tuesday morning with high water in the rural villages of Corning and Crooksville. Rail traffic was shut down through Crooksville, too.

Know, Morrow and Richland counties in central Ohio also are seeing high water and submerged roads. The Ohio Emergency Management Association and the Red Cross were helping people displaced by rising water. Some people had to be rescued by boat.

Weather officials said central Ohio has seen at least some rain every day for nearly two weeks.
