City Of Athens Announces Road Repairs

Traffic will be reduced to one lane on several streets in Athens next week.
The City of Athens Engineering and Public Works Department has announced several street restoration projects for the area.
One-lane traffic will be maintained, however, motorists are encouraged to avoid the area.
Parking on the following streets will not be allowed during the scheduled work.
The following roads will be affected starting Monday:
July 15
Hanlin Avenue from Slaughter Drive to Shafer Street
Miller Street from Walker Street to the dead end
July 16 & 17
North Shafer Street from West State Street to Rardin Street
Washington Street from Pratt Street to Shafer Street
July 18
Evans Street from Franklin Avenue to East State Street
Watt Street from Sunnyside Drive to Ohio Avenue
July 19 & 23
Morris Avenue from East State Street to May Avenue
