Ten Projects In WV To Be Funded By Appalachian Regional Commission

Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin announced the grants Thursday.
Among the projects are refurbished laptop computers and training for 785 middle-school students and their families in McDowell County.
The computer purchase also was funded through a matching grant from the nonprofit group Connect2Compete and the Reconnecting McDowell public-private partnership.
Projects in Marshall and Summers counties also being funded with ARC investment program grants, as are projects spanning multiple counties.
