Logan Man Faces 4 Years In Prison
< < Back to logan-man-faces-4-years-prisonAustin Daugherty, 22, of Greasy Ridge Rd., Logan, Ohio has been sentenced to four years in prison by Athens County Common Pleas Court Judge L. Alan Goldsberry for breaking and entering and multiple counts of burglary and grand theft.
The offenses stemmed from two break-ins at Mountaineer Mechanical in July 2012 and June 2013.
In July 2012 Daugherty broke the front door of the business and also broke into a work van, according to Athens County Prosecutor Keller J. Blackburn.
In June 2013, Daugherty broke the glass door and stole multiple firearms. The cases were investigated by the Athens County Sheriff’s office.
Although Daugherty was sentenced to prison, the prosecutor will not oppose Judicial Release after Daugherty serves six months of his sentence pending a favorable report from the warden.
If Judicial Release is granted, Daugherty will be required to complete a community based correction facility program such as SEPTA in Nelsonville, Blackburn said.
