Dickens Victorian Village Hosting Themed Weekends During Holiday Season
< < Back to dickens-victorian-village-hosting-themed-weekends-during-holiday-seasonDickens Victorian Village is hosting "Desperate for Downton," an afternoon of period costumes and music, scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 3 in downtown Cambridge, Ohio.
The afternoon event includes tea, dainty sandwiches, deserts and a fashion show featuring Edwardian Era clothes, courtesy of the Columbus-based Alley Vintage and Costume store.
Attendees are encouraged to get in the spirit by wearing their best historic or contemporary hat, gloves and accessories.
The tea party/fashion show is the highlight of "Desperate For Downton," one in a series of nine themed weekends during the Dickens season.
Additional events include a visit to the National Museum of Cambridge Glass, "Crumpets and Clotted Cream Tea" at the Colonel Taylor Mansion and opening ceremonies on Nov. 1 at 5:30 pm on the steps of the Guernsey County Courthouse.
The event takes place at the Masonic Lodge Ballroom , 730 Wheeling Avenue, Cambridge. Seats are limited. Cost is $30 per person.
