Some Communities Altering Trick-or-Treat Times Due To Approaching Storm

At least two communities in Athens County have postponed Trick-or-Treat festivities due to an approaching storm system that could bring severe weather to the region.
According to the Athens County Convention and Visitor’s Bureau Glouster and Jacksonville have postponed Trick-or-Treat until Nov. 2 from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m.
The City of Athens will not reschedule the Trick-or-Treat time unless a severe weather alert is issued by the National Weather Service.
The Visitors Bureau says any changes will be announced through the school system and social media.
According to the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission a number of communities in central Ohio, including Columbus have altered or postponed their Trick-or-Treat times.
Officials also recommend people contact their local community to check for updated changes to Trick-or-Treat times.
