OU College Of Fine Arts Hosting End-Of-Semester Events

As the fall semester draws quickly to a close, Ohio University's College of Fine Arts will be hosting several events across the Athens Campus.

Thanks to the Arts for Ohio initiative, all OU students can enjoy College of Fine Arts events free of charge.

On Tuesday, Nov. 26, the Percussion Ensemble will host its annual winter concert in the Glidden Recital Hall. This concert, conducted by Roger Braun, will be presented at 8 p.m. and will last about an hour.

The Symphonic Band and Marching 110 will host the School of Music's annual Band-O-Rama concert on Thursday, Dec. 5, at 8 p.m.

This show will be conducted by Andrew Trachsel of the Marching 110 and Director of Bands Richard Suk and will feature pieces from the Wind Symphony and the High School Honors Band.

The School of Art + Design is presenting the Second-Year Graduate Exhibition in the Ohio University Art Gallery in Seigfred Hall 536. The exhibition is on display now through Dec. 2.

The School of Theater will present Sarah Gancher's Klauzal Square in the Radio-Television Building. The performances will run at 8 p.m. on Nov. 21 and 22 and at 2 and 8 p.m. on Nov. 23.

Tickets can be purchased at the door or from Templeton-Blackburn Alumni Memorial Auditorium from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

On Sunday, Dec. 8, the Student Organization of Undergraduate Playwrights will present Plays Against Humanity. This series of short plays is based on various Cards Against Humanity cards, and is sure to be a great time for those seeking a reprieve from studying for finals.

This show will run from 2 to 3 p.m. in the Haghne Theatre in Kantner Hall and will feature the talent of many College of Fine Arts undergraduates.
