A night of fun and entertainment

Join WOUB Public Media for a Jazz Age Cocktail Reception inspired by Downton Abbey on January 4 at the Baker University Center on the campus of Ohio University in Athens. The party starts at 6:30 p.m. at Baker Center’s 1804 Room. Following the reception, you’ll see the first hour of Downton Abbey’s first episode of season four!

Tickets for the evening are available, but are limited. Cost is $100 per person/$150 per couple and include the following:

Menu

Peppered Beef Tenderloin – carved with olive herb relish and rolls; shrimp cocktail; baked brie with crudités; stilton, cheddar and camembert cheese and crackers; deviled eggs; tea sandwiches: cucumber with mint/chili butter, Benedictine, brie and walnut, minted radish chicken salad, parsley and sweet onion; salmon herb mousse with rye and pumpernickel bread squares; scones with strawberry jam and Devonshire cream; shortbread cookies; pound cake and rice pudding.

Open bar: including wines and cocktails; gin and tonic; vodka gimlet; martini; tea and coffee.
