The Ohio swimming and diving team is starting off the new year by soaking up all the Vitamin D they can as the Bobcats travel to Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

This 12-day visit is preparing the Green and White for the spring stretch of the 2013-14 season.

“We are really looking forward to some great training and wonderful weather,” interim head coach Derick Roe told OhioBobcats.com. “I could not be more excited to be spending 12 days in sunny Fort Lauderdale with the team.”

Several team members are narrating the trip through individual blogs. Tori Bagan said in her blog that the team is hitting the weight room along with multiple difficult water practices a day. She doesn’t fail to mention the sun and sand the team is enjoying between practices.

The Bobcats will end their winter hiatus on Jan. 11 as they make their way to Denison for a dual meet at 1 p.m.
