Winter Storm Kicks Off 2014
< < Back to winter-storm-kicks-2014The entire state of Ohio is under either a winter weather advisory or winter storm watch as the second day of 2014 promises to bring with it snow and bitterly cold temperatures.
The National Weather Service says snow fall amounts could total between 1 to 5 inches. Forecasters are predicting one to two inches for portions of southeast Ohio such as Athens, Meigs and Jackson counties. More northern counties like Guernsey, Muskingum and Tuscarawas could see three to five inches.

ODOT crews across the region spent Thursday morning treating roads in preparation for the snow. ODOT urges drivers to stay alert and reduce their speeds while driving during winter weather.
