The weekly awards keep piling up for Maurice Ndour, who was named the Lou Henson National Co-Player of the Week in addition to MAC East Player of the Week. Ndour is sharing the award with UC Santa Barbara forward Alan Williams.

Ndour was instrumental in both of Ohio’s wins last week, recording double-doubles in both games. The junior forward posted 21 points and 11 rebounds against Central Michigan and 28 points and 12 rebounds against Toledo.

The most impressive part of Ndour’s performance over the last week is his efficiency. He put up those numbers while shooting 67 percent from the field. The Senegal native was the first Bobcat to have back-to-back 20 point games since Walter Offutt scored 21 points and 26 points in the NCAA Tournament in 2012.

The Lou Henson National Player of the Week, presented by CollegeInsider.com, is given each week to the top performer from a mid-major school. CollegeInsider.com also awards the Lou Henson Player of the Year to the best mid-major player at the end of the season.

Ndour and his fellow Bobcats will take on Western Michigan in Kalamazoo Wednesday.
