WV Attorney General To Spread The Idea Of Drug Disposal Boxes
< < Back to wv-attorney-general-spread-idea-drug-disposal-boxesAttorney General Patrick Morrisey wants to make prescription drug disposal boxes widely accessible to all West Virginians.
He's teaming up with law enforcement agencies to multiply the number of locations for the boxes, which provide a secure disposal method for unwanted prescription drugs. The idea behind the disposal boxes is to keep those medicines out of the hands of people who might abuse them.
The prescription drug boxes are in place in several county sheriffs' departments and courthouses. They are supervised and regularly emptied by law enforcement.
Morrisey says he plans to reach out to law enforcement agencies in every West Virginia county encouraging them to establish the drug-disposal boxes.
