Former Ohio University assistant women's basketball coach Jeffrey Marshall was charged with operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and failure to control his vehicle by the Athens Police Department as the result of an accident that occurred Sunday night.

According to police records, Marshall hit a car that was stopped for a red light on the corner of West Union Street and South Congress Street at 7:35 p.m. Sunday. The former coach appeared in Athens Municipal Court Monday morning and pleaded innocent to the charges.
