The Ohio men’s basketball team’s season isn’t over despite a loss to Akron in the MAC Tournament. The Bobcats accepted a bid to play in the CollegeInsider.com Postseason Tournament Sunday night.

Ohio (23-11) will play host to Cleveland State (21-11) Wednesday in the first round of the CIT. This marks the fifth straight season that the Bobcats will play in a postseason tournament.

Two other MAC teams will also take part in the CIT, as Eastern Michigan and Akron are also in the field of the tournament. Eastern Michigan will face Norfolk State on Tuesday, and Akron will travel to Fort Wayne, Ind. to take on Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne.

The CIT does not follow a traditional bracket format. The tournament is made up of 32 non-BCS programs that were not a part of the NCAA or NIT fields.
To minimize travel expenses for its participants, the tournament does not determine second round matchups until the outcomes of the first round.
