Three People Plead Not Guilty In Scioto County Child Abuse Case
< < Back to three-people-plead-not-guilty-scioto-county-child-abuse-caseA man and two women pleaded not guilty Wednesday in a Scioto County child abuse case from earlier this year.
WSAZ reports that 31-year-old Bobbi Sue Pack, 52-year-old Edwina Louis and 44-year-old Juan Sanchez, all of Wheelersburg, Ohio, were arraigned on Wednesday. Charges against all three of them include rape by a sexually violent predator, kidnapping (with a sexual motivation) and tampering with evidence.
The three were indicted earlier this year, but were named again in a superseding indictment.
All three are accused of tying three home-schooled children to their beds for weeks at a time, beating their naked bodies with belts and paddles, and depriving them of food.
Pack is the kids' mother, and Louis is their grandmother. Sanchez is the children's stepfather.
The Scioto County Sheriff's Office said they learned about the alleged abuse after one of the children sent an email for help to a teacher at the children's online school.
