Man Accused Of Beating Dog With Baseball Bat
< < Back to man-accused-beating-dog-baseball-batA man from Vinton County is accused of animal cruelty after a dog was beaten with a baseball bat, according to information from the Vinton County Sheriff's Office.
Clint Dickerson, 42, of Creola, Ohio, was charged with criminal trespass, cruelty to animals and injury to animals.
Deputies said the dog was beaten with a baseball bat while it was chained to a tree along Depue Road in McArthur.
The incident was reported Thursday.
The dog survived its injuries and was taken to a veterinarian by the owner.
Dickerson was taken to the Southeastern Ohio Regional Jail. Bond hasn't been set yet.
Dickerson is expected to be arraigned by video on Tuesday.
The case has been forwarded to the prosecutor's office for further review.
