The Rio Grande RedStorm traveled to Miami-Hamilton to take on the Harriers on Tuesday evening and cruised to a 12-3 victory to win their fourth game out of their last five. Kirk Yates led the RedStorm, going 2 for 4 with three RBIs and a run.

Rio Grande had half of their runs scored in the third and eighth innings while the Harriers failed to score after the third inning. RedStorm head coach Brad Warnimont used a combination of five pitchers from his bullpen to control the Harrier offense.

Anthony Knittel added two hits and two RBIs for Rio Grande, while also pitching two innings and surrendering two runs.

Miami-Hamilton also used four pitchers, but Chris Ticherich did the majority of the pitching. Ticherich threw just over five innings, allowing six hits and three earned runs, with three strikeouts.

The Harriers kept up with Rio Grande in total hits, but they needed more timely hitting overall. They failed on multiple occasions to generate hits with runners in scoring position.

Rio Grande travels to Cumberland University this weekend for a three-game series against the Bulldogs.
