ARTS/West is currently hosting More Than Sculptures and Stuff, a solo exhibition of new work by Adam Lindner, through May 28.

In the exhibition, Lindner presents a series or unfamiliar artworks to most viewers who may expect to see his plain-air landscape paintings.

"It’s time that I release these works," he said. "Mostly because they are taking up work space in my studio."

Lindner’s installation is comprised of wall-hung sculptures that are sophisticated without flamboyance. His sculptures; One, Flattened Metal Table and Wicker Chair are two examples of the unexpected work to be presented this month.

Lindner is an Athens-based artist who has exhibited painting, installations and videos nationally. His work was recently included in shows associated with the Dairy Barn Art Center and the Athens Public Library.

He has had solo exhibitions at the Creative Gallery in Cincinnati and has participated in group exhibitions at the Dairy Barn (Athens), the Creative Gallery, the Pearlman Gallery, Convergys Gallery, Chidlaw Gallery and the Mnt. Adams Top of the Hill Gallery (Cincinnati).
