Court Won’t Dismiss Charges Against Juvenile Court Judge
< < Back to court-wont-dismiss-charges-against-juvenile-court-judgeA judge in southwest Ohio has rejected a juvenile court judge's motion to dismiss charges against her.
Hamilton County Common Pleas Judge Norbert Nadel on Tuesday also declined to move the location of the upcoming trial for Judge Tracie Hunter, scheduled for Sept. 8. Nadel said he would try to seat a jury to test Hunter's claim that she can't get a fair jury because of pretrial publicity.
Hunter has pleaded not guilty to felony charges, including tampering with evidence, forgery and theft in office. The Democrat has blamed politics for the charges.
The Ohio Supreme Court disqualified her in January from acting as a judge after an indictment alleged that she backdated court records and misused a county credit card.
